Why we Sell Wood Bats...Because
the Rule Book says to!
That's how baseball's played!
Be ready for Fall Baseball BBCOR for 2012

BBCOR Certified
Starting Jan. 1, 2011 - All bats used in the NCAA and any organizations that
follow NCAA rules (such as the NAIA), must be BBCOR certified. The BESR
certification is no longer used.
The PowerWood tm is all wood, laminated and remains true to the Baseball
Tradition. No plastic, fiberglass, foam or metal rods. The NCAA approved it
as a "solid wood bat" and is exempt from BBCOR testing. Patents pending.
REAL TOUGH
Testing at the Baseball Research Center showed the PowerWood bat to last
about 10 times as long as a regular wood bat. This is achieved by a special
laminating process, rock hard Hickory in the handle and Sapele in the barrel
for balance. It's so tough we back it with a
4 month breakage warranty. It's
the ONLY real wood bat with that!
REAL PERFORMANCE
Are you up for a performance advantage? The laminated hickory handle makes
the PowerWood so stiff that it has a larger effective sweet spot. This means
that when you miss the dead-on sweet spot, more collision energy goes into
the ball instead of the bat and rattling your hands. Think, just 5 more
balls that turn into hits out of 100 at-bats and you go from .275 to .325.
Talk about SWEET. Read what other players are saying about the best wood bat
on the market.

The handle is made of hickory and the barrel of sapele, a rare
hardwood that is 4% harder than rock maple.
PowerWood Technology is a patent-pending design and lamination
process that we use to build the MacDougall PowerWood M-10 and M-21
bats. It's a lengthy process that starts with sourcing select hickory
and sapele hardwood
that is carefully checked for grain conformity and freedom from natural
defects that could negatively affect the bat's strength. These
hardwoods, in concert with our special laminating process, add
unparalleled strength and stiffness to the bat, effectively creating a
bigger sweet spot since more power is transmitted to the ball.
What is Swing Weight? What is MOI?
On the ends of every Bat, you'll find two numbers corresponding to the
bat's swing weight and moment of inertia. Both numbers give you an idea
of how the bat "feels" when you swing it. PowerWood™ bats are slightly
heavier on the scale (thanks to its hickory handle) but have an
equivalent swing feel to a regular wood bat with the marked swingweight.
MOI is similar to swing weight, but uses the bat's weight and its
center-of-balance to calculate a number that is a more consistent
indicator of how heavy or light the bat feels while swinging. Try
swinging a few regular wood bats in different swing weights before you
buy.
See the chart below.
What lengths and weights is the Powerwood available in?
The PowerWood is available in lengths from 31" to 34" in ˝" increments

swingweight range so you can get the bat that fits you perfectly.
For example, a 32˝" minus 2 would feel exactly the same to swing as a 33
minus 3

Nope. Hold it any way you want. We mill each piece of wood
so that the edge grain faces out, making a barrel that's strong
along its entire circumference. Swing away!

It's not Rocket Science, but it's
close.
PowerWood Technology goes into every bat we make. But
what goes into PowerWood Technology? High- tolerance joinery, ivory hickory
and sapele hardwoods, plus a special laminating process, to name a few. All
combine to create a bat that will never shatter or splinter - something
other all-wood bats can't do. No foreign materials like plastic, foam, metal
or fiberglass. We stay true to the Baseball Tradition.
The proof is in the PowerWood.
The Baseball Research Center put the PowerWood to the
test. In case you think our bats look "flexible" in these videos, rest
assured they are not. That's what happens when you hit a bat on the end of
the barrel at 198 mph. And remember, the regular "pro model" wood bats
broke a LONG time before they got to this point.
